Skillibeng dropped another “Hot” single while ignores some baby mama drama floating around the net.
Ever since he released his Brik Pan Brik EP a few months ago, Skillibeng has been unleashing singles like they’re going out of style. The dancehall star dropped off his latest banger called “Hot” on Monday (Nov. 2), along with a video game type of animated visual. The track, which was produced by Tevino “YGF” Richards & Derron “HMP” Herah, is a head-bopping presentation of Skillibeng’s lyrical prowess that follows suit with his latest string of singles.
“Mi name hotter than how mi spliff hot (So hot) / If dem nuh talk bout Skilli dem mad (Cuh deh) / Mi jus a laugh watch di p***y dem chat (Cuh deh) / Bell a go off when mi name a mention / Mi use dem negative energy and mek quantum traveling machine go neda dimension / A bear big long gun Skilli fire / When man a roll clip well ram up, one ting di head hot,” he deejays.
Skillibeng talks about his progress in the dancehall arena amid bursting on the scene just a year ago in the verses, while the hook is dedicated to the heat surrounding the deejay right now. By chanting the word “hot” only a few times, the St. Thomas deejay composed a simple chorus that uses space and tantalizing instruments to separate his usual parade of witty lyrics and multi-syllabic rhymes. The seemingly mundane hook, however, is a well-placed plateau before a mountain of lyrical pleasure.
Based on the lyrics, “hot” appears to be three-fold, as in addition to it being an ode to Skilli’s stardom and enviable position in the industry, the deejay also notes his “hot spliff” as well as “she seh it hot.” The lyricist includes a financial tip for existing generations about capitalizing on this stage of the digital era as well. “Yuh waah mek money mek vlog,” he deejays in the verse. There is also what seems to be a nod to late Billboard chart-topping rapper, Pop Smoke in the second verse. “Mi pop smoke so mi name Pop,” rhymes Skillibeng.
“Hot” is a product of YGF Records, EastSyde Records, and Herah Music Production. Listen to the new track by Skillibeng.
Last week, Skillibeng seemingly revealed that he is not the father of a child given to him by a female he used to date. The female in question has since released a video explaining the situation saying the the St. Thomas native knew about the “jacket” situation and was okay with it. Nevertheless, she claims she is unhappy about how he chose to handle the matter via social media rather than in private.
Bounty Killer Fix His Crown On ‘King Of Kingston’ Cover Art & Put Artists On Notice
Bounty Killer fix his dancehall crown on the cover art of his forthcoming album, King of Kingston. The dancehall legend used the opportunity to put every other artists dropping album this year on notice.
2021 has been the year for dancehall albums, and another major release is on the horizon. Veteran deejay Bounty Killer has announced that he will be dropping his hot new project, King of Kingston, sometime this year.
In true Bounty Killer style, the artiste gave the confirmation on Instagram yesterday (May 14), writing, “Y’album alerts the coming is near.”
The Warlord has been regarded as one of the most entertaining dancehall acts of his day, and he ensured that this stayed fresh in the minds of his followers, as he bashed other entertainers who have released albums this year.
“Side Note: Since everybody and dem granny making album this year all of a sudden let me make this clear all who and who dropping dem little dumpling thing dweet fast and move bcuz when GIANT a feed up a pudding pan kerosene tin business in other words the BIGGEST BADDEST and the BEST dancehall Y’album for the last two decades is…………..LOADING,” he wrote in the caption.
The timing of Bounty’s announcement, along with the shady message, had fans thinking the artiste was taking a jab at Alkaline, who released his “Top Prize” album yesterday. Despite the dig (intentional or not), it’s undeniable that Alkaline’s album has been making waves even before its launch. “Top Prize” has been trending both locally and internationally, becoming the #1 pre-ordered album on all major streaming platforms, including Amazon and iTunes, in the week before it launched.
Still, Bounty’s comments might not have been directed at the young artiste as several dancehall artists, both newcomers and veterans, have either launched or announced albums in the past few months. These include Vybz Kartel, Sean Paul, Masicka, Beenie Man, Shenseea, Popcaan, Jada Kingdom, and Intence.
It’s clear that Bounty’s album is one of the most highly anticipated. The comment section of his announcement was flooded with upbeat responses from fellow artists who expressed excitement about the album. Bugle commented, “Ready and a wait caz mi know it a go great [fire emojis].” Baby Cham also commented fire emojis, while Trelawny native Charly Black said, “Well turrrrrble [fire emojis].”
On another post that highlighted an image of Killer (which we assume is the album cover), Vybz Kartel also expressed anticipation, writing, “TPC [fire emojis].” The two have had their differences in the past but seem to have mended fences in recent years.
The deejay’s last album was Ghetto Dictionary: The Art of War, which was released in 2002.
Bounty Killer is one of the greatest of all time in dancehall. The legend, often referred to as The General, rose to fame in the early 1990s when he cemented himself as a gritty hardcore deejay from Seaview Gardens in Kingston. His him community likely helped inspired the title of the album, King of Kingston.
Since his early days as a ruthless hardcore deejay, Bounty Killer went on to become one of the most celebrated names who ever pick up the mic. With numerous classics under his belt including several international collabs, fans are clued in for his upcoming project.
Lil Reese Now In Stable Condition Expects To Recover From Being Shot
Lil Reese’s condition has now been listed as stable, and he is expected to make a full recovery.
The Chicago rapper was shot and beaten up at a parking garage at Chicago’s River North neighborhood on Saturday. Multiple sources say he was attacked for allegedly stealing a car, and the vehicle’s owner tracked him down and confronted him. A fight ensued, and Lil Reese and two other men were shot in the process.
All three men were transported to a local hospital where Reese’s condition was reported to be grave after a video shows him bleeding from his head on the ground. His manager posted a message asking fans to pray for the rapper and his family.
According to TMZ, Lil Reese, 28, was grazed in the eye by a bullet, but one of the victims was shot several times during the melee.
A graphic video is currently being circulated on social media showing a man closely resembling Lil Reese on the ground bleeding from his head. Another man in the background, who was not on camera, was heard yelling at him as first responders tried to help. The man heard yelling is believed to be the owner of the stolen vehicle.
Police also found a Dodge Durango riddled with bullets on the scene. The SUV is rumored to be the stolen vehicle.
At the time of this publication, Lil Reese is expected to recover from his injuries but remains in the hospital getting treatment.
This is the second time that Lil Reese is surviving a gun attack in the past two years. In November 2019, he was shot in the neck by an AK47, and many believed then that he wouldn’t survive, but he pulled through. He lost his voice as a result of that attack and had to learn to rap again.
Drake Praised Kodak Black Calling Him A “Poet” and “Oracle”
Drake is a big fan of Kodak Black music.
Drizzy has commended Kodak Black on his new project titled “Haitian Boy Kodak.” The eight-track project was released on Friday (May 14), and on Saturday (May 15), Kodak disclosed that Drake ‘hollered’ at him via a direct message on Instagram and commended his work. The “ZEZE” rapper posted a screen recording of the conversation on his Instagram page.
“Man you always give me that inspiration,” one message read. Drake, whose Instagram handle is @champagnepapi continued, “Real POET”…. “Oracle.”
To these compliments, the 23-year-old Kodak Black responded, “I Wanna B Like You Bra, You The Greatest.” In a separate message, the rapper also jokingly said “Sign Me” with a laughing emoji.
“Man let’s do some music for sure,” Drake responded, also using a laughing emoji. “But for real you really on another level,” he added.
“Haitian Boy Kodak” is the first project since Kodak’s release from prison earlier this year. The young rapper was supposed to spend 46 months in prison for falsifying documents to obtain firearms in 2019, but his sentence was commuted by former President Donald Trump on his final day in office.
Although the rapper’s legal troubles seem to be far from over, he is still pursuing and pushing his music career. Notably, this is not the first time that the 34-year-old “God’s Plan” rapper commended Kodak on a new project.
Kodak’s December 2018 album “Dying to Live” also gained a compliment from Drake.
“Bro your album really one of my favorites in the last five years,” he said in one of the messages. In the other messages, he said, “The bars you are rapping about friends and your purpose is so pure.”
“What got you there? Like you are almost talking from this god level birds eye view of your own life. I wanna know how you broke that wall,” he added to his flattery. Kodak shared the messages on his Instagram page.
NBA YoungBoy Apologize To Pregnant Girlfriend Jazlyn Mychelle & Promises To Act Right
NBA YoungBoy pens letter to fans, and mother of his child, Jazlyn Mychelle
NBA Youngboy has confirmed that he is expecting his 8th child. The confirmation came on Friday (May 14) by way of a letter purportedly from the rapper, which was posted to the Instagram page of his manager. NBA is currently incarcerated on charges of possession of firearms as a convicted felon and possession of a firearm that is not registered.
Since his incarceration, the rapper has been communicating with fans on the outside world through letters. Last month, he wrote a letter addressing his critics, among them talk show host Wendy Williams. Wendy had spoken on NBA Youngboy’s arrest, saying he had to go to jail and that he needed to be careful as he had seven young kids to care for.
In response to Wendy’s criticism, YoungBoy wrote, “I can leave my kids millions of dollars to divide but can’t give them the time they truly deserve.”
NBA YoungBoy continued, “Nobody understand me they never did sh*t some times I don’t understand myself but that’s fine because I’m okay I ain’t looking for you to feel sorry I just ask for one thing- For you to let me suffer in peace tell MS. WENDY WILLIAM I say she got a good soul and she’s a beautiful women I can see that threw all the bad comments thrown at her tell her count her blessings (STAY IN GOOD SPIRIT) Sincerely Kentrell.”
In his latest letter, the rapper, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, speaks on the people around him suggests that he has nobody to support him in his time of need.
“I have a hard time paying attention i then gave and i then been there for people without having nobody to be there for me even with people i talk to now if they wasn’t waiting to receive or been giving something already they wouldn’t be here,” he wrote.
The letter continues, “Im a man before anything I had to apologize to myself for not protecting my heart and allowing most of this to happen i read letters from my supporters and find joy inside and yes i said that right (my supporters) yall are not fans we scream F.A.N together (f*ck a n*gga) LOL.”
He addressed persons speaking on his name and asked them to stop. “but all jokes aside,” he writes, “i ain’t got nothing against nobody i dont want no problem neither just stop speaking on me we don’t concern each other.”
That was followed by the confirmation of another child on the way, this time with his latest flame Jazlyn Mychelle. “I really just want to be there when my daughter born i want to be in the same house as her while she grow up i never had that experience,” he wrote.
He further apologized to his girlfriend for his previous actions with other women and promised to be there once she did not leave him. “Jaz im sorry (ma’ma) I promise im sorry for every time i said something to another woman for every time they ever gotten the chance to come around ill give you anything for you not to leave anything to have you when its all said and done.”
It’s clear that the rapper is feeling vulnerable about his relationship, but by all indications, Jazlyn will be sticking by her man. Since his incarceration, she has posted several throwback images and videos of the two, alongside the hashtag “free him.”
Jazlyn Mychelle has since responded to fans saying, “If you don’t know the situation between him and somebody else don’t speak on it because obviously you a fan to the sh*t.”
NBA is expected to appear in court in June to answer to the gun charges against him. Until then, he remains locked up at a facility in Louisiana.

Lil Reese previously survived a shooting incident in November 2019 in the suburbs of Chicago. The rapper was shot in his neck with an AK47 rifle while at a stoplight. He sought medical attention at South Suburban Hospital’s emergency room in Hazel Crest but was transferred to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn after police discovered that he was the victim of the shooting incident.
Reese lost his voice as a result of that attack and has struggled to regain it ever since.
Over the years, Lil Reese has been embroiled in several beefs with rappers like Tekashi 6ix9ine and Quando Rondo. Quando is accused of being involved in King Von’s death, and Von and Reese were close friends.
