Ronnie Schloss gives assurances over pitch conditions

It’s all systems go ahead of this weekend’s return to football action according to Premier Soccer League (PSL) senior administrator Ronnie Schloss.

The league returns after a four-month absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Up first this weekend is the Nedbank semi-final round while league action resumes next week.

Despite the four-month suspension, Schloss has confirmed that all of the 16 stadiums that are being utilized for the completion of the season in Gauteng are up to standard and ready to host professional football matches.

Gauteng stadiums ready for PSL action

“All the venues have been approved and it’s all systems go to complete the season. You must remember that we are not going to play on any new venues‚ so they will be ready‚” Schloss told SowetanLive.

“Our facilities are ready and in very good condition to welcome the teams next week. We got a certificate to be classified as essential services during the lockdown where we worked with skeleton staff and followed the health and safety guidelines.

“That has helped us a great deal because we managed to keep our facilities in good condition‚”
