Eminem associate Obie Trice was arrested for assaulting a member of his family.
We’re not sure if Obie Trice should be counting his blessing or cursing his actions after what went down at his home on Friday morning. The veteran rapper was allegedly in an altercation with his girlfriend and her 18-year-old son during the early hours of Friday. The police local police were alerted to their home located in the Detroit suburb of Commerce Township, Michigan, by concerned neighbors after they heard shouting coming from the house.
The police spoke to the female victim and the 42-year-old rapper who was allegedly drunk when the incident went down. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office put out a statement about what allegedly happened between the rapper and his girlfriend.
According to the police report, Obie Trice and his girlfriend, who resides together, has an argument when a gun came into play, Local 4 Detroit reported. That’s when her son intervene which resulted in the two of them wrestling for the weapon which went off hitting the youngster in the groin.
“The son observed the firearm in the boyfriend’s hand and feared he was going to be shot, so he attempted to disarm him,” the police statement reads. “They struggled over the gun, and both went to the ground. The firearm discharged, and the son was struck in the groin area.”
Obie Trice, who was a member of Eminem‘s Shady Records, was arrested on two charges, which include felony assault of a family member with a gun and contempt of court for violating a protective order. His bail is currently set at $16,900.
In light of all that has happened, he should be counting his blessing that the victim was not actually inflicted with more severe wounds, and he should also be bashing himself that he allowed things to escalate to that level.
We await further information as the story develops.

Macka Diamond shed tears as she recalls getting more love in Costa Rica than she gets in Jamaica.
Earlier this week, Rvssian made a tweet imploring Jamaicans to support dancehall artiste instead of bashing their efforts. While the tweet seemed to have been made due to the backlash from his new song, featuring Shenseea and international acts Sawe Lee and Young Thug, those same sentiments are now being shared by another female artiste who has faced severe public backlash over the years.
Macka Diamond recently posted a video to her Instagram page thanking her Costa Rican fans for their love and support. She is in such a high demand that she has been booked multiple times over the last three months and is set to do more shows in the area 2020. This is a major contrast to the support she gets from her fans in Jamaica.
She took to her Instagram account to share a teary-eyed message. “Me cry on the way back, is like tears run outa me eyes fi know seh lawd Jesus me own people dem, like me own people dem bring me down,” mentioned Macka. “Like if me did follow my own people dem me woulda give up you know, me woula give up and me come inna wa next country, wa next town and the love, the love wa me get,” continued Macka.

Other female acts took to the comment section to embrace her and give her hope.

Usain Bolt Drops New Soca Single “Energy To Burn” Remix With Ultimate Rejects
Usain Bolt dropped off a new soca single “Energy To Burn” remix with Trinidad’s own Ultimate Rejects.
Usain Bolt has always branded himself as not just a speedster but someone who can accomplish anything he puts his mind to. He has dabbled in football, having trained with Borussia Dortmund and even played for the Soccer Air World XI charity team. While he has hung up his football cleats, he has taken on another one of the things he is passionate about. In recent years we see Bolt trying his hand at music, first going into the production of dancehall music, and with the soca season right around the corner, he is releasing a brand high energy, waist rotating track.
The sprint king has teamed up with the “Full Extreme” champs Ultimate Rejects for a remix to a track titled, “ENERGY TO BURN.” Bolt shared a compilation video of himself and the Rejects working it out in the booth. He captioned the video, “From JAMAICA to TRINIDAD … Are you ready ?!! @ultimate_rejects x Usain Bolt (UR x UB) presents ‘ENERGY TO BURN (Remix) !! …. 24hrs.”
Usain Bolt has been heavily involved in the music production, more so in 2019, when his he and the A-team released the Olympe Rose Riddim. The project featured the likes of Christopher Martin, Dexta Daps, Ding Dong, Munga Honorable, Bibi Gardner, and Bolt with the intro. The main idea behind the project was to promote his Mumm Olympe Rose Champagne.
While he agreed that the music business did not prove as have easy has he thought, he soon followed up with another project, this time involving his idol Vybz Kartel. The Immortal riddim saw Kartel dropping one of his hottest tracks for 2019, titled, “Adiadking.” The track saw Kartel drawing on a lot of Usain Bolt references as he assumed the King of Dancehall throne. The project also featured tracks from Ding Dong, Demarco, Christopher Martin, Masicka, and Munga Honorable.
While dancehall music is Usain Bolt’s first love, he still enjoys a good time when it comes to soca carnivals and road marches. He and girlfriend Kasi J. Bennett have always brought a little bit of PDA and some heavy gyrating to the fellow revelers. With this in mind, it’s not surprising that Bolt decided to team up with one of Trinidad’s most energetic groups to mark his introduction into the fast-rising, soca market that so many other Jamaican artistes are trying to break into.

Justin Bieber Issued PSA On His Love For Wife Hailey, Chance the Rapper Cosign
Justin Bieber is showing love to his wife, Hailey Bieber on Instagram, and Chance The Rapper is here for it.
It’s been over a year now since Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin has gotten hitched. Though he and his wife have faced a lot of scrutiny for getting married so quickly and so young, they’ve prevailed in spite of the negative judgment. The pop star took to social media today to share an appreciation post to his Mrs. The image he posted had the words “I love my wife.”
While many thought it was sweet, a lot of people questioned what Justin had to prove. However, he was quick to shut down the doubts with his caption. Justin wrote, “I don’t post this to prove anything, or to try and make people believe I love my wife, I simply think it’s an honoring thing to do, publicly acknowledging your significant other!” he said. “Its like we’re all okay with acknowledging an achievement or award, but think there has to be something shady about saying something publicly about the one you love.”
One celebrity who was definitely in support of Justin showing love to his wife on Instagram was Chance The Rapper, who has been married to his wife Kirsten Corley for almost a year now. “I love this song,” Chance commented. Also, singer Avril Lavigne took to the comments to add a series of hearts to express her fondness for Justin’s proud love.
It was recently revealed that Justin has been battling lyme disease and even suffered from chronic mono. The singer, however, was never short of support as he has had his wife by his side throughout his struggles. It’s so wonderful to see this young couple still so focused and committed to loving each other proudly and purely.
Clarks Originals Invites Reggae Songstress Lila Ike To Paris Fashion Week
It would appear iconic British footwear brand Clarks Originals is smitten with Lila Ike.
The 25-year-old Reggae songstress was recently invited to Paris Fashion Week by Clarks, a stint which the Manchester native is very proud of. The artiste is yet to officially confirm whether or not she has a promotional deal with the brand. “Big respect to @clarksoriginals. Thanks for inviting me to Paris had mad fun and met some kool people,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “Big up @imddb and 2therealkano (sully from top boy),” she wrote on a recent Instagram post.
Last December the UK-based shoe manufacturer and retailer, singled out Lila for highlight, after she sported a lavender-colored Wallabees for a performance in France, during her Europe sound system tour. Four photos of Lila were posted on Clarks Originals IG page, which was captioned: “Lila in Lavender performing live in Paris #WallabeeWednesday.”
A few months earlier in July, they had also re-posted Jahvillani’s song ‘Clarks Pon Foot,’ dubbing it a summer anthem for Clarks and Jamaica.
Clarks has been an all-time favorite of Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall artistes and was glorified and immortalized in their songs dating to as far back as the 1970s.
One Love Books founder, Al Fingers, had even assembled a compilation of tracks dubbed Clarks in Jamaica, in celebration of Jamaican artistes’ love affair with the brand. The compilation had featured 21 songs from entertainers such as Supercat, Little John, Dillinger, Trinity, and Ranking Joe and was followed up by a book of the same title in 2012.
The popularity of Clarks in Jamaica has even attracted the attention of fashion magazines such as Vogue, which published an article in 2015 titled “How Jamaica fell for the Desert Boot: The Story of Reggae’s Love Affair with Clarks.”
The author of the Vogue article had noted that when Clarks introduced the Wallabee in 1967 and the Desert Trek which later came to be known as ‘Bankrobbers’ in Jamaica in 1971, “they practically flew off the shelves, straight onto the album covers of Reggae’s most influential singers and DJs, Rastas a and razor-trimmed lyrical gangsters alike.”
Vogue also noted that in the 1980s, the trend shifted from album cover accessories to song lyrics and even titles such as Little John’s Clarks Booty, and marked some of the genres all-time classics like Super Cats’ Trash and Ready” and Eek-a-Mouse’s ‘Wa do dem?’
Clarks made a huge resurgence amongst young people in Jamaica, following the release of Vybz Kartel’s Clarks song, which also featured Popcaan and Gaza Slim and which was featured on his Pon di Gaza album. The song hailed the virtues of Clarks for its versatility, durability, health benefits for the feet, and ability to withstand any types of weather and terrain.
