BISHOP Charles Matheka Kinyanjui, president of World Partners — the international missions arm of the worldwide chapters of The Missionary Church, is in Jamaica to address the 70th annual conference and convention of the Missionary Church Association in Jamaica.

The convention started yesterday and is scheduoled to end Sunday.

A Kenyan, Bishop Kinyanjui is the first person from outside of North America to be elected to head this international body. He is renown as an exemplar of Christian discipleship, according to a release from the Missionary Church Association in Jamaica.

The release said Bishop Kinyanjui’s successful methodology in discipleship has generated a strong demand for him to speak on the subject at various church conferences across the world. He presently serves as the senior pastor to more than one million Christians in Kenya and other African territories.

Bishop Kinyanjui, who is also the president of The Missionary Churches of Kenya, will be the main speaker on Sunday, April 28 at the Missionary Church in Jamaica Conference, which will be held at Kendal Camp & Conference Centre, Manchester, beginning at 9:00 am.

While here, the release said, Bishop Kinyahjui will be discussing with church leaders, and the media, global and African perspectives on church growth and Christian discipleship.
