Cape Town – All Blacks legend Dan Carter has successfully come through the neck operation that curtailed his hopes of recently rejoining French club Racing 92.
The 37-year-old Carter said the operation went well and he’s focused on getting his body right again.
“Another challenge to conquer!” Carter wrote.
“Happy my neck surgery went well and now the long road to recovery starts.”
Carter was set to join Racing 92 in March as a replacement for former Springbok Pat Lambie, who has retired.
However, Carter failed the medical test and had to have an operation to repair damage to his neck.
Carter his halfway through a two-year deal with Kobe Steelers in the Japanese Top League and helped guide them to the title last season.
