Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the northern interior of the Northern Cape and north-western Free State as well as the North West province.
According to SA Weather Service, a heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected in the eastern parts of the North West province until Monday.

The wind along the coast will be light south-easterly at first, otherwise moderate south-westerly, becoming moderate to fresh south-easterly from the evening.
A cool weather condition is predicted over the south-west and south coast of the Western Cape, otherwise fine to partly cloudy and warm but cloudy in the south-west with rain, spreading to the south coast in the evening. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate westerly to north-westerly, becoming moderate to fresh south-westerly from the afternoon.
The western half of the Eastern Cape will be fine and warm, but hot in places in the North West, becoming cloudy with isolated showers along the coast and adjacent interior from evening. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.
The eastern half of the Eastern Cape will be cloudy with mist in the east at first, otherwise fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy with isolated thundershowers in the northeast from late afternoon. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-westerly.
KwaZulu-Natal will be cloudy at first with morning fog patches in places over the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.
