The woman whose body was found this morning at the University of the West Indies, Mona has been identified as medical doctor Judith Rose Spencer.

Two people have been arrested in connection with yesterday’s seizure of a Smith and Wesson firearm in McQuarrie district in Sandy Bay, Hanover.

4. Curfew imposed in sections of Salt Spring, St James

A curfew has been imposed in sections of Salt Spring, St James. The curfew, which was put in place following the expiration of the state of public emergency in the parish on January 31, began at 6:00 pm yesterday and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm Tuesday.

5. ‘Young and the Restless’ actor Kristoff St John dead at 52

Officials say Los Angeles police were called to his home on Sunday and his body was turned over to the Los Angeles County coroner. The cause of death was not available.

6. Trinidadian teen commits suicide after mother takes away cell phone

A 16-year-old girl is reported to have committed suicide after her mother took away her mobile phone after finding out that she had been posting revealing photographs on social media, the Trinidad Express newspaper reported Monday.

7. Windies captain Holder banned for slow over-rate

West Indies captain Jason Holder has been suspended for the third and final Test against England due to his team’s slow over-rate during their victory in Antigua last week, the ICC announced on Monday.

8. Westmoreland farmer dies in motorcycle crash

Investigators assigned to the Westmoreland Police Divison are probing the circumstance surrounding the fatal collision that claimed the life of a man on the Williamsfield main road in Westmoreland last night.

9. EU countries step up pressure on Venezuela’s defiant Maduro

A key group of European Union countries endorsed Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido as the country’s interim president on Monday, piling the pressure on embattled President Nicolas Maduro to resign and let the country hold a new presidential election.
