Snapchat Filter Turns Glenn Close Into Woody Harrelson Clone

Published

on

Oscar nominee Glenn Close is the latest celebrity to find herself enthralled by the new Snapchat filter that visually alters your gender.

Over the past few weeks, a host of celebs and everyday Snapchatters have taken to social media channels to share what they would look like if born as the opposite sex. Perhaps one of the best Snapchat gender swaps came when  Close posted a photo on Instagram of herself as a man.

And that photo went viral for its own reason.

“When I show this picture of me as a guy with attitude, they think I’m Woody Harrelson!” Close wrote in the post’s caption. “I’m flattered, kind of.”

It’s safe to say that if Close were a man, Harrelson would have had some competition. Now, the question is, will he be posting a gender swap photo of himself as a woman?

Cardi B Indicted on 12 Counts in NYC Strip Club Fight, Including 2 Felonies, Court Records Show

Cardi B is being indicted on 12 counts, including two felonies, in connection with a fight at a New York City strip club last summer where she allegedly attacked two bartending sisters, according to public court records.

The Queens district attorney’s office announced the indictment last week but kept the details sealed pending her arraignment Tuesday afternoon. Online court records associated with Cardi B’s case, however, indicate the “Bodak Yellow” star will be charged with two counts of felony attempted assault with intent to cause serious injury. All the other charges, which range from harassment to criminal solicitation, conspiracy and reckless endangerment, are misdemeanors.

Two of Cardi B’s friends are also named in the indictment, the complete details of which are expected to be revealed later Tuesday. The rap star allegedly orchestrated the attack on the sisters in retaliation against one whom she believed had slept with her then-husband Offset, sources have said.

The new charges came down just about two months after the “Bodak Yellow” singer declined a plea deal to an A misdemeanor — one that essentially would have gotten her off scot-free if she stayed out of trouble — in connection with the August 2018 fight in Queens.

At a concert in Los Angeles shortly after the indictment news, Cardi B chanted “I’m not going to jail” on stage, saying she had a daughter. Her lawyer couldn’t immediately be reached for comment on the indictment, but in a previous hearing, attorney Jeff Kern had said his client had no criminal record and he was “aware of no evidence that she caused anybody any harm.”

It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an updated statement ahead of her expected arraignment on the indictment.

Surveillance video shows her picking up an ice bucket and throwing it at the two sisters who were bartending, sources have told News 4.

In a previous hearing, a judge had ordered Cardi B to have no contact whatsoever with the two sisters and issued an order of protection for them. He also warned Cardi B to “please be very careful” with social media.

When he asked if all that was clear, the rapper nodded.

Born Belcalis Almanzar, and a former stripper herself, Cardi B was at the club in College Point because Offset was performing with his hip-hop trio Migos, according to police. She and her entourage got into an argument around 3 a.m. Aug. 29 with the two sisters, according to a source directly connected to the two alleged victims, and total chaos allegedly broke out.

Cardi B apparently suspected one of the sisters was having an affair with Offset and had confronted the women, ages 21 and 23, in Atlanta on June 29, the sources said. The rapper announced in December she and Offset had split up, though they have since reconciled.

Body of Missing Brooklyn YouTube Personality and Gamer Etika Found by Police

The body of a popular YouTube personality and gamer from Brooklyn who had gone missing after posting a cryptic video last week has been found, law enforcement confirmed on Twitter Tuesday.

A body was found in the waters near South Street Seaport in Lower Manhattan around 6:30 p.m. Monday but NYPD didn’t immediately confirm whether the body was Desmond Amofah, better known as Etika. An autopsy is expected to be conducted to determine cause of death.

Family, friends and fans of Etika grew concerned after the YouTuber published an 8-minute video online apologizing to people he felt he let down. The video was published sometime shortly before he went missing.

Police sources had told News 4 that Amofah had a history with mental illness and had been hospitalized in the past. Authorities found his personal items, including a phone and identification, on the Manhattan Bridge last week.

Nobody had been in contact with Amofah since the night of June 19.

Fans were posting messages on social media over the days he was missing, hoping Etika would be found alive or return on his own.

The cryptic video he posted before he went missing was not the first time the 29-year-old posted that kind of concerning content online. In April, police were called after Amofah posted some disturbing tweets.

Adam Sandler Surprises NJ Kids With Pickup Game of Basketball

Adam Sandler shocked a bunch of Atlantic City kids Friday when he showed up to play some hoops at a basketball court in the South Jersey beach town.

“I couldn’t believe it,” said Jahmir Campfield, one of the kids at the basketball court. “I wanted to see him in person because he’s mad funny in the movies.”

The comedian and three of his friends stopped by a basketball court on Pennsylvania Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Friday afternoon before he performed at the Hard Rock casino that night.

“He was like, ‘Can I play with you guys?’ And we’re like, ‘Yeah, sure,'” 12-year-old Jahlil Boston said.

Boston and his group of friends immediately recognized Sandler and took pictures with him on Snapchat.

“I got so excited. I ran to the bench and got my phone and started recording,” another player, Abdul Hawkins, said.

Sandler spent 20 minutes playing hoops with the kids, including some two-on-two games and four-on-four’s.

“It’s amazing how he just came to play basketball with us and not like somewhere else,” Hawkins said.

Before he left, Sandler joined the kids for a group photo. He even gave the kids some Hard Rock water bottles.

“Call me so I can come out there and be the funny kid in a movie,” Campfield said he told Sandler before he left.
